Short Bond ETF
Short Bond ETF’s provide the investor with a way to short treasury bonds. Please note that these do don’t mean short term bond ETF’s, but are inverse ETF’s. That is, they increase in value as the value of treasuries decrease. There are only four short bond ETF’s liquid enough to consider and are included below. ProShares and Direxion are the ETF providers specializing in short bond ETFs.
ProShares Short 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TBF)
ProShares UltraShort 7-10 Year Treasury Bond ETF (PST) (leveraged 2x)
ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TBT) (leveraged 2x)
Direxion Daily 30-Year Treasury Bond Bear 3x ETF (TMV) (leveraged 3x)
